Frank's Work
Small-scale, local ministry: pastoring a small Baptist church in Orange Farm, preaching in the community, visiting the sick, and training leaders.
Frank’s work is small-scale and local. His congregations are a handful of people. Most of his impact comes from being present in the community: in the lives of his church members, at funerals, at a soup kitchen, and at hospital bedsides.
The ministry
In Frank’s own words, as he wrote them.
Frank’s work is a non profit faith based ministry which seek to further God’s Kingdom on earth as recorded in Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” NIV
The ministry focuses on the following:
-
Church planting
-
Preaching the gospel
-
Mercy ministry - helping the needy, in the name of Jesus Christ (Mt. 25:40) “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” NIV
I am convinced that the mission of the Lord is incomplete if helping the needy is neglected.
-
Equipping Christian leaders for churches that will entrust people about the supremacy of Christ & direct them to total dependence on him and him alone.
Palm Springs Baptist Church, Orange Farm
Palm Springs Baptist was an existing church with no pastor, kept going by its lay leaders. Frank came in as pastor and established it as a small, settled congregation. It meets in a corrugated-iron building in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg.

[TODO: the year Frank started at Palm Springs, and a sentence about church life today, such as when it meets and what it does.]
Preaching in the community
Much of Frank’s preaching happens outside the church: at funerals in the community, and regularly at the soup kitchen run by Ferndale Bible Chapel in Randburg.

Visiting the sick
Frank visits church members and others in hospital.

Where it began: Mahikeng
Frank’s first church plant, straight after Bible college, was in Mahikeng in North West Province in 2014 and 2015. It was where he found his feet in ministry: preaching, running outreach for children, and teaching new believers.

Frank’s vision
My vision is to see a growing community of Christians who fear God their Creator, and who love Jesus their Saviour, who are trusting in the Lord in all matters of life and who constantly offer an offering of deeds of kindness through helping the least of our communities.
