About Frank

Frank Sibanda's journey of faith, from Matabeleland to Bible college, church planting and pastoring in South Africa.

My journey of faith

My name is Frank Sibanda. I was born in Matabeleland North Province in Zimbabwe. In the early 2000s I moved to South Africa following the loss of my parents.

With my heart burning for serving Jesus whom my late mother had made me to believe at a young age of 13 years old, the Lord was with me, I underwent Bible training at the Rosebank Bible College through the assistance of Sandy Irving, director at the institute and whom I am thankful for making it possible for me to study the Word of God at depth.

At the time I was a voting church member at the Randburg Baptist Church, and I was feeling a clear call to be a minister of the gospel and more specifically a call to church planting and the church helped me to get equipped for this wonderful work linking me with Terry Rae the founder of Africa for Christ Evangelistic Association an organization that would later support my church planting ministry.

In 2011 the Lord brought an incredible and faith devoted man into my life, David MacCallum and through him Richard du Toit, and Gareth Gibson, elders, Ferndale Bible Chapel joined my journey of faith.

In 2013 I began church planting and this would not have been possible without these men whose hearts are after God’s heart and whom God sovereignly brought into my life and whom I owe more than I could repay.

I am currently serving as a church planter and pastor at the Palm Springs Baptist Church in Gauteng Province while on course to go back to Zimbabwe and continue the Lord’s work there.

In all this I am thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ for choosing and appointing me to His service.
